Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
I am currently a private pay provider and do not accept insurance for new clients. This allows for greater flexibility, privacy, and depth in our work together. If you have out-of-network benefits, I'm happy to provide a superbill that you can submit for possible reimbursement.
What states do you see clients in?
I offer online therapy for adults located in California, Washington, Massachusetts, and Wisconsin. I also see clients at my office in San Mateo, CA.
What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a gentle, body-based therapy that uses eye position to access and process unresolved trauma and emotional pain. It can reach material that talk therapy alone sometimes can't. Learn more on my EMDR & Brainspotting page.
What is EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they feel less overwhelming and more resolved. Learn more on my EMDR & Brainspotting page.
Do you work with perinatal clients?
Yes. I'm a Postpartum Support International certified perinatal mental health provider, supporting clients through pregnancy, postpartum, birth trauma, and the broader transition to parenthood. Learn more on my Perinatal Mental Health page.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for therapy services before you begin care. I provide this estimate for all self-pay and out-of-network clients.
How long are sessions, and what do they cost?
Individual sessions are 50 minutes; extended sessions (75–90 minutes) are available for trauma-focused work. See my Fees page for current rates and details.
